Consistent bedtime schedule

Why Does a Sleep Schedule Matter?

Your body has an internal clock called the circadian rhythm, which regulates your sleep-wake cycle. When your sleep schedule fluctuates, your circadian rhythm gets disrupted, leading to poor sleep quality and longer sleep latency (the time it takes to fall asleep). By maintaining consistency, you align your rhythm with your natural biological cues, making sleep come more easily and feel more restorative.

Let’s try to set a sleep schedule together!

Step 0

Decide on your sleep schedule. At what time do you want to go to bed? At what time do you want to wake up?

Step 1

Set your wake up time first. It's more important than your bedtime. No matter at what time you sleep, your body adapt to your wake up time in a few days. And you’ll end up sleeping earlier.

Step 2

Set your bedtime

You can set your sleep and wake up time on your clock app to help you stick to this schedule. You can add a reminder 30 min or 1 hour before your bedtime.

P.S: Ideally your schedule should vary by 30 minutes maximum. If you set a bedtime for 10 pm and slept at 10:30 pm, that's fine.
